Stedham campsite and Outdoor Centre is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in the heart of the South Downs National Park

For Youth groups, Community groups, Schools, Educational Courses, Forest Schools and Duke of Edinburgh Training. Stedham Campsite is not a public campsite, we do not take bookings from individuals.

Our unique outdoor centre and campsite offers excellent facilities in a beautiful setting. You will need to book early to secure your preferred dates.

The campsite is sited on a south-facing slope about one mile north of Stedham Village. It is an open site with good views to the Downs and is partly protected to the west by woodland. There is a choice of three camping areas and plenty of space for recreation. One camping area has a large campfire site, there is also an area with newly installed play equipment suitable for most age groups.

The facilities include a toilet block with 2 showers and disabled access, an outdoor kitchen with two six-burner gas cookers, double sink, hot water, urn and electric lights, along with 2 further outdoor sinks. If using the kitchen facilities, there is a storage shed adjacent for your use with 2 tall fridges and a freezer. There are large saucepans and various other cooking utensils which you are welcome to use. Crockery and cutlery is not provided.

Dining Shelter: Adjacent to the kitchen is a 20ft x 30ft oak framed, slate roofed dining shelter equipped with tables and chairs.

An Oak building provides accommodation for academic work, meetings or workshops.

The site provides a good field study area and is an ideal base for walking and orienteering.
